I’ve been introducing the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW) and its history with episodes, but I’ve been thinking it might help if I summarize the history of the DPCW. Here’s the milestone of the DPCW that was uploaded on the website of Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL).

Realizing that international law doesn’t prevent wars, the Chairman of HWPL, Man Hee Lee decided to enact new and powerful international law to cease all wars.

In Sep. 2014, 29 national leaders including incumbent and former heads of state signed an agreement to work toward an international instrument on the cessation of war.

The chairman of HWPL knew the necessity to update the international law to prevent wars and gathered people who agreed on this idea.

In Sep. 2015, HWPL International Law Peace Committee was formed and launched.

In a year, many international law experts gathered to prepare the draft of the DPCW.

In Mar. 2016, the 10 articles and 38 clauses of the DPCW and the launch of the “Legislate Peace (LP)” project were announced.

Surprisingly, six months after forming the committee, the draft of the DPCW came out with the deep devotion of international law experts.

In Jul. 2017, PARLACEN, a parliament of six member states, including Guatemala, adopted a resolution in support of the DPCW.

In 2018, Peace Conference was held at the UN Headquarters. Moreover, the International Centre for Black Sea-Baltic and Consensus and the Pan-African Parliament signed MOU with HWPL.

On Dec. 2019, the Coalition of Caribbean Leaders for Peace signed an MOA with HWPL.

What a journey, right? I hope the information was helpful to see the history of the DPCW. I think the milestone stopped in 2019 because of COVID-“19”. However, since HWPL keeps on working online, I hope this will be updated at any moment.
