Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) have a special bond with the Philippines. In 2016, the chairman of HWPL, Lee Man Hee, visited the Philippines to help resolve the conflicts that lasted for forty years in Mindanao island. Back then, Mindanao suffered from conflicts among religions (which have a complex background related to the history of the Philippines) and lost 120,000 people. Chairman Lee gathered people from both sides of the conflict and guided their leaders to sign a peace agreement on 24th Jan 2016 (If you’re interested in what happened on that day, you can read a post about it here). Since then, Mindanao holds commemorative events every 24th Jan to remember the day and to urge the neighborhood nations to help them build peace in the Philippines. What’s more, peace monuments to express support for HWPL had been established in the Philippines.
On 24th Jan 2023, a new monument was established in Manila, the capital of the Philippines!
You can watch a YouTube video of the ceremony.
Chairman Lee Man Hee visited the ceremony and gave a celebration speech and Filipinos overjoyed the event.
I hope the Philippines will be a good example of peacebuilding soon.
This is a beautiful post. The fact that one of the five member states of the UN Security Council has launched an invasion of a neighbouring country without repercussions proves that international law and its implementation is weak and in need of reform. The DPCW is the only hope for the cessation of all global hostilities.
I sincerely hope the required number of signatures in support of the DPCW can be gathered and submitted to the UN as soon as possible for ratification as international peace law. Any member state heads who oppose it only expose to their people their desire for war.
I am encouraged by the words of Viktor Yushchenko, former President of Ukraine, who recently said the following:-
“The DPCW is a perfect and balanced document that can be the basis of solidarity for peacekeeping in all countries of the world. I think all the leaders of the countries should support the DPCW.”
May peace prevail!
